Step Forward plans to build social fabric by training sports leaders with a special vocation to help, who in turn will develop the sports skills of children and teens after their school day. The project seeks that participants use their leisure time in a productive and fun way and develop good coexistence practices around the sport.
Step Forward has entered into an alliance with the International Peace Group – GIP, internationally awarded for the implementation of innovative programmes that promote non-violence scenarios for vulnerable children and adolescents and provide them with true tools for social transformation.
The project will benefit 1818 people directly and indirectly, including sports leaders, monitors, children and youth. In order to strengthen the role of women in their respective communities, it includes the training of ten women as sports leaders during 2020. It also includes the rehabilitation of community sports spaces through mingas.
