The Challenge
Exposure to Western culture has affected the Shuar identity. In order to strengthen their values and intangible heritage within a global scenario, it is important to develop cultural activities that restore and enhance the Shuar communities identification with their language, territory and customs.
Beneficiary Population
One hundred members of the Shuar communities, including social leaders, children and teens.
Objective
Step Forward plans to create spaces for reflection through cultural activities that empower Shuar and strengthen their cultural identity, using accessible media as a platform for the dissemination of ideas.
